Tuesday 5th March 2024 - You've Seen This Before... We love Repeats at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified), so we were delighted to receive a whole slew of repeat screening details from the fabulous Andrew Pixley. He has undertaken researches of local newspapers and has sent in 90 previously unconfirmed repeat transmission dates, with confirmed episode titles for all but six of them! Consquently, this represents a big update to the section, with additions to the following ATV (First run), Anglia, Border, Channel, Grampian, HTV, Scottish (First run), Scottish (1970s repeats), Southern, Tyne Tees, Ulster, Westward, Yorkshire (First run) and Yorkshire (1970s repeats). Thanks massively, Andrew!

Monday 19th February 2024 - The Bald Truth... Watching The Saint - The Fast Women this evening, I was intrigued to note that footage from this episode featuring actors John Hollis and Valerie Bell was reused in Randall and Hopkirk's It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water. A note to this effect has been added to its Trivia entries and also to its Locations page.

Monday 22nd January 2024 - Goodbye Occupation Road... A chance visit to Watford and one of the filming locations seen in But What A Sweet Little Room, Occupation Road (Location 14) has revealed that the road now has a new name in honour of their famous supporter Sir Elton John.

Thursday 9th November 2023 - The Stylish World of ITC (Event)... A quick heads up about a thoroughly recommended event that's taking place at the BFI Southbank on Sunday 3rd December 2023: The Stylish World of ITC, hosted by a friend of this website and top ITC expert, Jaz Wiseman:

The Stylish World of ITC
+ intro by Lord Michael Grade

Sunday 3rd December 2023 15:00 (90 minutes duration) in NFT1

A look at the art and design of that most stylish of 60s TV companies, ITC.

Lew Grade’s ITC (Incorporated Television Company) lit up small screens in the 1960s with a number of exciting action-adventure series (The Saint, The Prisoner, The Persuaders!, Department S) that rivalled the American model of production, often topping them in exuberance, style and panache. Join Jaz Wiseman as he shares with us his considerable ITC archive, featuring the art and design of this famous British company. Expect rare marketing art and sales designs, as well as some well known and alternative-version credit sequences.

Joint ticket available with Missing Believed Wiped 2023 £14, concs £11 (non-Members pay £2 more). Book in person at the box office or by phone on 020 7928 3232.

Tuesday 7th November 2023 - 1980s TSW Repeats... Over the years since Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) opened its doors, James Heath has helped with information concerning the series' original and repeat screenings, and has just sent in information that he researched in the The (Plymouth) Evening Herald concerning the 1987-88 TSW Repeats. James' research means that this page is now complete.

Additionally, I also noticed that there was limited navigation within the Repeats section, so I have now addressed this, with links to subsequent pages and quick hops to previous/following decades for each channel listed.

Saturday 4th November 2023 - Find A Location! I've added a page today which collects together all the unidentified filming locations from Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), the idea being that with them all being in the one place, it's easier for people to see what still needs finding. If you can help identify any of the mysterious filming venues on Location Spotting: Could You Recognise the Place Again?, just drop us a line at declassified.culttv@gmail.com - thank you. All identifications will be fully credited to the finder(s).

Friday 3rd November 2023 - On the Road Again... Rounding off our major 2023 updates to the Locations pages, a sumptuous selection of 'Now' images have been added today, courtesy of the talented and highly dedicated Craig Robins. The selection comprises: You Can Always Find a Fall Guy (Silver Hill), The Smile Behind the Veil (Rectory Lane-Keepers Cottage), The Trouble with Women (3 views of Northolt Road), All Work and No Pay (2 views of Barnet Lane, 1 of Haberdashers Aske's), Money to Burn (2 views of Hawthorn Lane, 2 of Wilton Street, 1 of Wilton Mews), The Man from Nowhere (1 view of Boveney Wood Lane, 3 of Latimer, 2 of Ship Hill, 2 of Stratfield Road) and Vendetta for a Dead Man (5 views of Hawthorn Lane). 26 images in all!

Also today, many thanks to 'jno' of the excellent minder.org for his identification of the unknown road we asked about yesterday - now, thanks to him, identified as Cowley Hill WD6 (A Sentimental Journey).

Thursday 2nd November 2023 - From Borehamwood with Love... Hot on the heels of our last Locations update, Craig has submitted a further 17 images that greatly enhance and bring up to date our page for A Sentimental Journey. Sad to say, we've come to the conclusion that one, previously identified location was in fact incorrectly identified, so that's slipped back into 'Unknown Road' territory. Eagle-eyed location spotters are more than welcome to try to track that down - and of course the same goes for other unidentified filming sites in the section. If you can help, please drop us a line at declassified.culttv@gmail.com. Thank you.

Tuesday 31st October 2023 - Denham and Latimer (Revisited)... Craig Robins has delivered 18 fabulous new images, photographed during his recent visits to Denham and Latimer. This means that the Locations page for For the Girl Who Has Everything has been updated and much improved.

Monday 30th October 2023 - HTV 1980s Repeats... Thanks to Darren Giddings, who has kindly completed our information for the mid-1980s HTV repeats of Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) having unearthed his off-air recordings to establish the running order.

Saturday 28th October 2023 - Whoever Heard of a Website Makeover? Sincere apologies for the dearth of updates in the last month or so. Unfortunately, it has been quite a trying time as I received a hefty fine for using an unlicensed image on one of my websites, and I have been involved in dealing with that situation and also in ensuring that all my websites are copyright compliant. I have reluctantly taken the decision to close several of them, including sister site The Avengers Declassified, but rest assured Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) will continue. I am, however, working my way through the site to make it compliant. This includes adding copyright credits for all photographs, which as visitors might image, is a long and involved task. As part of this process, visitors will notice that some photos have been replaced with artwork and also that some content has necessarily been removed.

But it's not all doom and gloom, thank goodness, as Craig Robins has sent in photos that he took of Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?'s filming locations, mainly centring on New Southgate Cemetery. Craig has also supplied some interesting Spotter's Notes for this page.

Finally, I would like to thank Craig, Alys Hayes and Rick Davy of Quoit Media for their help and support over the last month. I am also greatly indebted to Richard Farnham, James Cowan and Hazel Ford for their kindness and help over this period.

Saturday 16th September 2023 - But What a Sweet Little Update... More from Craig today, who has cast his keen eye over our Locations: But What a Sweet Little Room page and has photographed new images of many of the episode's London locations, namely on Fitzjohn's Road, Gore Street, Petersham Place and Lambeth Palace Road. Once again, several new Spotter's and Since Filming notes have been added thanks to Craig's visits.

Wednesday 13th September 2023 - Whoever Heard of a Photographer Evaporating? Craig Robins has been out and about to photograph for the Locations section, sweltering in the late summer heat, the poor chap. He suffers for his art! A bigger update will follow, but for hors d'oeuvres a few tweaks to Locations: The Trouble with Women, Never Trust a Ghost, Vendetta for a Dead Man, Just for the Record, Could You Recognise the Man Again? and The House on Haunted Hill. Several new Spotter's and Since Filming notes have been added as a result of Craig's excursions.

Sunday 3rd September 2023 - The Time and the Place... A heads up to let people know that Jaz Wiseman, a great friend of this website, is releasing a book that should interest those who are enthusiasts of Randall and Hopkirk's ITC stablemates. Previously issued in paperback by Network and now out of print following their sad closure, Jaz's fabulous book about The Persuaders! entitled The Time and the Place is about to get an expanded hardcover reissue from ITC Classics. It's a limited edition and won't be reprinted, so pre-order your copy today! We at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) strongly recommend purchasing this book.

Pre-order at ITC Classics!

Wednesday 16th August 2023 - Tinkering... Nothing of any great import today, but I've given the Features Index a makeover and added publication dates.

Tuesday 15th August 2023 - Those Title Sequences Again... We recently added a feature by Martin Cater and Alan Hayes which looked at Randall and Hopkirk's two title sequences - "Only You, Jeff!" - The Curious Tale of the Two Title Sequences. As with our other recent Features, this was well received and prompted an interesting mailbag and social media response. Among those who got in touch was Mark Rogers, who shared a fascinating memory of the original screenings which has led to Martin and I agreeing that the piece would benefit from being revised in the light of Mark's revelations. Therefore, two new paragraphs have been added towards the end of the piece, which we feel add another interesting dimension to the tale of the title sequences. Many thanks to Mark and everyone else who got in touch.

Sunday 13th August 2023 - Somebody Just Rounded Off the Locations! Today is a very big day for Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) as it is the day when - after 12 years - that the Locations section is finally complete, with the addition of the last outstanding page, Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave. I've been working with Craig Robins, photographer extraordinaire, on these pages for more than five years now, and it is no exaggeration to say that he has transformed a collection of mainly Google Streetview grabs into something truly impressive. Believe it or not, Craig and I have been working on this new page since January 2020 - 44 months on a single page, that's dedication! OK, so the pandemic got in the way for a while, but the work included several visits to Knebworth House and New Southgate Cemetery, among other places, as Craig pinpointed the exact camera positions from 1969. We are very grateful to the staff at both these venues for their permission and assistance, particularly Victoria and Harry Crabb at the cemetery. Thanks of course to Craig, without whom I don't think this section would have ever been completed!

To celebrate this rounding off of the locations section (though there will undoubtably be occasional updates in future to pick off certain locations which have remained elusive for one reason or another), I have revisited the Locations Index page and made it more informative and user-friendly, collecting all the locations together in a 'Quick Look' for each episode.

Sunday 6th August 2023 - That's How Restoration Snowballs... Many people who reacted so favourably to Jonathan Wood's How Did We Start Seeing Things? feature in the last couple of weeks expressed the hope that Jonathan would write a follow-up feature about the process of restoring Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) for Blu-ray. Well, little did they know that this possibility was already in the minds of Jonathan and myself... and Jonathan has come up with another doozy for our features section: High Definition Apparitions - Restoring Randall and Hopkirk for Blu-ray. This new article tells you everything you want to know - and there are some interesting and surprising revelations along the way. For instance... no, let's not spoil things... Thanks to Jonathan for all his hard work on this - and of course on our Randall and Hopkirk Blu-rays!

Monday 24th July 2023 - New Feature from Jonathan Wood... We're delighted to add another article to the Features section today. This one has been specially written for Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) by Jonathan Wood, who had a hand in the recent - and brilliant - HD restorations of the series. His focus in the feature is on how the series has been transmitted over the years - How Did We Start Seeing Things? - and we're very grateful to him for spending the time writing for the site and sharing his considerable expertise. Please take a look!

Tuesday 18th July 2023 - Updated Location Shots... There's cause for celebration as Craig Robins has been out and about photographing Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) filming locations for the site. This included a visit to Knebworth House last Friday with yours truly and Alys Hayes in tow, for the forthcoming Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave locations page. We plan to bring you this final locations page soon(ish!), but to whet the appetite, Craig has supplied several updated 'Now' shots for the following locations pages: The Smile Behind the Veil, It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, The Trouble with Women and All Work and No Pay.

Additionally, I have added links to Martin Cater's excellent blogs on the Only You, Jeff! The Curious Tale of the Two Title Sequences page.

Monday 10th July 2023 - Title Sequence Confusion? Another new feature today, adapted and expanded from a feature by Martin Cater which appeared on the Network Distributing website - sadly now defunct along with the legendary company itself. This piece looks at the two opening title sequences made for Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and tries to clear up some misconceptions about each of them - Only You, Jeff! The Curious Tale of the Two Title Sequences.

Sunday 9th July 2023 - Corbière Lighthouse... Thanks to Alys Hayes for photographing the eye-catching scene at Corbière Lighthouse, seen in Locations - Vendetta for a Dead Man. We were there at both high and low tide and so have been able to update the photos. Access to the exact filming angle is a little tricky, so our 'Now' shots are approximations.

Monday 19th June 2023 - Murder Ain't What It Used to Be! / Yorkshire... A double whammy of an update today. For starters - cue fanfare! - thanks to Craig Robins' superb work, we can finally unveil the Locations page for Murder Ain't What It Used to Be! With this completed, there is just one to go now - and rest assured that this is being worked on. Also today, many thanks to Simon Coward for confirming the episode titles for ten episodes in the first Yorkshire TV repeat run of 1971-72.

Sunday 11th June 2023 - Fall Guy / Grim's Dyke... Sterling work by our official photographer Craig Robins, who has been at Grim's Dyke to photograph updated photos for Locations: You Can Always Find a Fall Guy. As usual, Craig's 'Now' photography is top class, and his observations have permitted me to add to Since Filming and Spotter's Note entries, too. Take a look... but that's not all, as during his visit Craig discovered that the Grim's Dyke Gatehouse has had a very difficult few years (including a devastating fire in 2020!) - full details in Features: Back from the Dead - The Fall and Rise of a Filming Location.

Wednesday 22nd February 2023 - Lots of Updates... A bit of a catch-up day today... All the Programmes pages completed to date have been given the once over and carry small tweaks, with the one for Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying getting an additional entry in the Cock-Ups section (concerning Aldenham House). This is due to a find by Geoff Dodd and a confirmation from Jonathan Gibbs which also spills over into Locations: Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying, with a new entry for Aldenham House (Location 4A). Finally, a new Programmes page has been added today for Vendetta for a Dead Man.

Tuesday 24th January 2023 - Press & Features... Thanks to Jaz Wiseman for sending in a Press item from 1969 which we hadn't previously spotted (ATV International Sales) and also to Marcus Payne who has let us know about another TV car that went over the cliff at Betchworth Quarry (you must have had to watch out for low flying cars there all the time!) - it was shot for the LWT sitcom The Fosters - see Features: The ITC White Jaguar for details. I've also been able to add a very-nearly-confirmed Anglia Repeat Tranmission for Just for the Record (10.8.1972) thanks to Ros Connors.

Monday 11th July 2022 - A Randall and Hopkirk Podcast... Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) highly recommends the new ITC Entertained the World podcast which focuses its latest edition on Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Here's the PR from Jaz Wiseman:

ITC Entertained The World - Series 2, Episode 15 - Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased)

Take a Sentimental Journey with our hosts as they investigate A Disturbing Case. They Can Always Find A Fall Guy, as they go undercover and learn to Never Trust A Ghost.

Tuesday 24th May 2022 - Channel TV 1980s Repeats Sorted... Thanks to Ben Rigsby for noting that Channel Television's 1988 Randall and Hopkirk repeats were simulcasts of the TVS screenings, which means we have been able to complete the information for both channels.

Tuesday 17th May 2022 - Granada and Scottish Transmissions Polished Up... A small but important update today, courtesy of Ben Rigsby, who has tracked down first transmission dates for For the Girl Who Has Everything (completing Granada Transmissions) and A Disturbing Case (bringing Scottish Transmissions within sight of completion). Thanks, Ben!

Thursday 12th May 2022 - Blu-ray Restoration Sources... A modest update to the Programmes section today, with each page now including notes on Blu-ray restoration sources for the episode concerned.

Wednesday 11th May 2022 - Scottish and Yorkshire 1980s Repeats... Ben Rigsby has diligently uncovered many more Randall and Hopkirk transmissions for Scottish and Yorkshire Television, bringing our information about the 1980s repeats much closer to being complete. Ben has submitted 38 episode identifications, just for these two repeat runs!

Tuesday 10th May 2022 - New Programme Guide: The Man from Nowhere... Continuing the work on the Programmes section, I'm delighted today to launch a new page for The Man from Nowhere, which is positively bursting with fresh information and imagery.

Wednesday 4th May 2022 - New Programme Guide: Money to Burn... I've been working for the last week or so on a brand new Programmes page for Money to Burn and have finished it this morning. This marks the resumption of work on that section after some considerable time and I plan to continue in this area over the coming months. I have also revised the Programmes page for All Work and No Pay to include a cock-ups note provided by Corinna Hoptroff. Sorry it took so long for me to add, Corinna. Thank you.

Tuesday 3rd May 2022 - Transmission and Repeats Boost... I received an email on Saturday from a chap called Ben Rigsby, a TV listings enthusiast, who told me that his "job" for the Bank Holiday weekend was to fill in as many of the gaps in our Transmission and Repeats pages. Ben's generous offer was backed up with the first of his finds in local newspapers, which he attached as an image by way of confirmation. This has proved to be the first of an amazing 42 individual identifications, all but one confirming episodes titles for transmissions where all we had was the knowledge that an episode of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) had been screened at a particular time on a particular day in a particular ITV region. To say that Ben's work is a boost to these sections is an understatement and I look forward to the possibility of further discoveries. Transmission pages updated: Granada,  Westward, Yorkshire. 70s Repeat pages updated: HTV, STV, Tyne Tees, Westward. 80s Repeat pages updated: STV. Thank you, Ben!

Sunday 17th April 2022 - Further 1975 Granada Repeats Confirmed... Thanks are due today to Dave Gogarty who has kindly supplied confirmed episode titles for several 1975 Granada ITV repeats.

Thursday 3rd March 2022 - The Ghost Who Saved the Bank at Miami? Congratulations to Anthony McKay who has tracked down another filming location, this one for stock footage of the airport that doubles for Nice Côte d'Azur airport in The Ghost Who Saved the Bank at Monte Carlo (location 2B). Turns out it was actually Miami - only slightly off course!

Saturday 12th February 2022 - Hawaii Found-Oh! Just over a week ago we told you we were 99% sure of the identification of Hawaii Striptease Club (10D), seen in Could You Recognise the Man Again?. Today, Alex Bulgo - who made the original identification - has cleared up that pesky 1% doubt, care of the London Metropolitan Archives, and we are pleased to confirm the spot. No photograph as yet as Google Streetview doesn't venture down this particular alley.

Monday 7th February 2022 - White Jag, Red Renault... and the Olive Jeep! Today I've made a number of significant updates to my feature about The ITC White Jaguar, to add further detail about the original filming for The Baron and also to add a new section about an earlier, similar stunt filmed for The Counterfeit Plan, a Merton Park Studios production from 1957. My thanks to Oliver Dale for making me aware of both existence of the 1957 film and several Kinolibrary Archive clips on YouTube of the white Jag filming. Thanks also to Geoff Dodd, who identified the 1957 production's filming location for Reelstreets. (Tuesday 8th February 2022 - Page now includes links to Kinoarchive Archive video clips.)

Thursday 3rd February 2022 - An Elusive Location Identified... Alex Bulgo has done some fabulous research which has led him to identify the spot where the Hawaii Striptease Club (10D), seen in Could You Recognise the Man Again?, once stood. We're not 100% certain, but 99% confident!

Tuesday 28th December 2021 - More Locations Found... Well done to Bryn Willetts, who has pinpointed three difficult-to-find locations from The Man from Nowhere. These are all towards the foot of the page; one on-site location and two seen in process shots.

Saturday 27th November 2021 - The Location That Isn't There... Thanks to Bryn Willetts, who has ticked off another of our unknown locations, this one for When the Spirit Moves You. It's one of the process shot backgrounds at the bottom of the page - (B) - and it turns out that it was shot on Albert Street NW1 (another process shot shot at its opposite end was identified by Geoff Dodd in 2018). This new find is doubly impressive as the buildings seen in the background (on Mornington Place) were demolished in 1980 or before. Well done, Bryn!

Thursday 4th November 2021 - Another Gaddesden Lane location find... Well done to our own Vince Cox, who has taken Bryn Willetts' recent find from The Smile Behind the Veil (3E: Gaddesden Lane) and spotted another location from the same episode on this stretch of road (3G). Excellent work from both these gentlemen!

Tuesday 14th September 2021 - Location photographed... Further to the previous update about Bryn Willetts' location find regarding The Smile Behind the Veil (3E: Gaddesden Lane), he has now visited the scene and photographed it for the site. Thanks again, Bryn!

Sunday 22nd August 2021 - Great location find... Huge thanks to Bryn Willetts for spotting a location from The Smile Behind the Veil (3E: Gaddesden Lane) which has been perplexing the likes of Anthony McKay of A Guide to Avengerland and ourselves for some time. Delighted that Bryn has been able to clear this one up! Thanks, Bryn. Great work!

Thursday 22nd July 2021 - New R&H Scriptbook available... We're delighted to hear that a Randall and Hopkirk scriptbook has been published, comprising the original version of When the Spirit Moves You, complete with scenes and dialogue not included in the final version. Wednesday 21st April 2021 - Repeats Update... Great work from James Heath who has undertaken further research into the Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) repeats of the 1980s. As a result there are major updates to the pages for: Channel, Grampian, HTV, Scottish and Ulster, with one new confirmation also for Border and Yorkshire. James has also been able to add some first-time transmissions to Ulster Television.

Sunday 14th March 2021 - Randall in Granadaland... Further information has been added to the Granada repeats of 1970-71 by Simon Coward and to the same region's repeats of 1985 by Tom from Roobarb's Forum.

Tuesday 9th March 2021 - Randall and Hopkirk's Afterlife... We invite you to take a browse through our Repeats section as several pages are new and many more have received major updates thanks to Andrew Pixley.

Sunday 27th December 2020 - It's Only Another Repeat! Thanks to Andrew Pixley, whose updates to the 1970s Repeats I am continuing to work through, and also to Philip Cooper, who has identified the episodes screened on several of the Granada 1986-1987 repeat dates. Thanks to you both.

Also, a quick heads up about two podcasts that will be of interest to Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) / ITV fans - firstly, Jaz Wiseman, Rodney Marshall and Al Samujh's ITC Entertained the World podcast is well worth seeking out and Adam S. Leslie has dropped me a line to let me know about his RetroTube podcast about Randall and Hopkirk - and now you know too! :)

Sunday 11th October 2020 - 1980s Granada Repeats... Thanks to Ros Connors for confirming the first three episodes shown in the Granada region in 1986-1987.

Saturday 26th September 2020 - Location Photo Updates... Thanks to Craig for supplying updated replacement 'Now' photos for Vendetta for a Dead Man Location 8 ('The Cavallo-Smith Residence').

Friday 25th September 2020 - The Ghost Talks... Something positive in these trying times... Although our plans to complete the Locations section have been thrown into disarray by the Covid-19 restrictions which have meant that properties which we would need to visit to do so have closed their doors, we have been able to complete work on the final episode of the series, The Ghost Talks. This wouldn't have been possible without the sterling work of Craig Robins, our brilliant official photographer, who has also visited Rowley Lane and his new photo for The Smile Behind the Veil Location 3H has now definitively confirmed that location spot.

This leaves two episodes to go - Murder Ain't What It Used to Be! and Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave. We will deal with the filming locations for these episodes when access is restored to vital locations. We all hope that all visitors to Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) keep well over the coming autumn and winter months.

Friday 4th September 2020 - Now You See It... Congratulations to Anthony McKay, who has pinpointed another filming location for the series - Process Shot Background C from Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying - this despite only one building seen in the sequence surviving today. The rest have been spirited away!

Wednesday 24th June 2020 - Repeat Prescription... Many thanks to James Heath, who has performed further research and deduction concerning the TSW Repeats of 1987.

Monday 22nd June 2020 - An Agreeable Case... More today from the researches of Darren Senior, Denis Kirsanov and myself, who between us have written highly-agreeable-and-not-at-all-disturbing biographies for all the guest actors who feature in A Disturbing Case: Judith Arthy, David Bauer, Max Faulkner, Gerald Flood, Michael Griffiths, Patrick Jordan, William Mervyn, Charles Morgan, Geoffrey Reed, Adrian Ropes and Les White. A side note on this section is that after some consideration, I have retired the Who's Who?: Extras section, and now all actors and background performers are listed together alphabetically.

Thursday 18th June 2020 - Who's That Actor? More today from the researches of Darren Senior and Denis Kirsanov, who between them have concocted superb biographies for the remaining Murder Ain't What It Used to Be! actors: Raymond Adamson, Patrick Connor and Charles Lamb.

Thursday 28th May 2020 - More Who's Who... The second of a series of new additions to the Who's Who section today, from Murder Ain't What It Used to Be!, Joyce Carey (Mrs Maddox) and Sue Gerrard (Susan Kirstner). These have been written by Darren Senior with additional research and presentation by Denis Kirsanov and myself.

Saturday 23rd May 2020 - New Who's Who... The first of a series of new additions to the Who's Who section today, from Murder Ain't What It Used to Be!, Alan Gifford (Paul Kirstner) and David Healy (Bugsy Spanio). These have been written by Darren Senior with additional research and presentation by Denis Kirsanov and myself.

Tuesday 19th May 2020 - To the Ends of the Alphabet... Denis has now finished the checking of the Who's Who? section, with pages W, Y, Z and Extras now updated. We will have some completely new entries in this section soon.

Sunday 17th May 2020 - Done to a T! Denis Kirsanov's superb work at adding ever more detail to our Who's Who? actors section has now reached Who's Who?: T. Eagle-eyed visitors might also notice a few small tweaks through the pages up to that point and also to Who's Who?: V.

Wednesday 6th May 2020 - It's Only A Repeat! I'm really grateful to Daniel Partridge for sending along details of the 1988-1989 Thames TV repeats of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), which has enabled me to complete the information on that page. If you can fill in any gaps in the Repeats or Transmission sections, please do drop us a line.

Additionally, Denis has cast his fine eye for detail over Who's Who?: S and those updates are now live.

Tuesday 5th May 2020 - Who's Who? The Moscow Affair... My great thanks to my dear Russian friend Denis Kirsanov who has unearthed bags of new detail for the Who's Who? section, which he has now revisited and fine-tuned up to the letter R, with more to follow.

Of course, since my last update here, the world has become a strange and scary place - I do hope that all visitors and contributors to Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) are keeping well, their families too.

Tuesday 4th February 2020 - 50% Proof... Thanks again to Denis Kirsanov for his diligent work in error-checking the Who's Who? section. Actors A-M and the Regular Cast have now been proofed and corrected where required. Victor Maddern, Philip Madoc and Marie Makino's entries have received new information, with the later being almost completely rewritten by Denis and I thanks to bundles of fresh detail that he has uncovered.

Thursday 30th January 2020 - Fine-Tuning a Location... It's recently come to light that our identification of the first shot of Location 3H of The Smile Behind the Veil wasn't quite on the money. Vince Cox was correct in that it was shot on Rowley Lane WD6, but Craig Robins has suggested a different section of that road. We should know for certain in the near future. Additionally, Craig has supplied further Blu-ray grabs to fill gaps on the Locations pages, which means that the 'Then' images on all the 23 episodes we've completed are now fully updated to Blu-rays sources. The section is, therefore, fully updated to the higher quality images, and I'm exceptionally grateful to Craig, Geoff Dodd and Jonathan Wood for their help and hard work in making this possible over the last couple of years. Thanks also to Denis Kirsanov for a series of small but important factual corrections to the Who's Who? section.

Wednesday 29th January 2020 - Now with Added Definition... I'm grateful for the help of Jonathan Wood (for sending Blu-ray grabs of the episode title cards for the Locations main page) and to Craig Robins, who has supplied HD grabs for The Trouble with Women and has filled gaps on several other pages. The first fifteen pages of the Locations section plus A Disturbing Case are now fully upgraded to Blu-ray sources for the 'Then' images, and I have therefore removed the 'Blu-ray' notations on these pages, since all the images are now from Blu-ray sources.

Saturday 25th January 2020 - Take a Trip to Monte-Carlo... It's always a special day at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) when we are in a position to unveil another Locations page, and today is happily one of those days. Thanks to the combined talents and hard work of John Holburn, Vince Cox, Anthony McKay, Craig Robins and myself, we are delighted to invite you to join us as Jeff, Jeannie and Aunt Clara take a trip to Monaco and the gaming tables of Monte-Carlo (don't worry, Marty hitches a ride, too) in The Ghost Who Saved the Bank at Monte Carlo. 23 down... 3 to go!

Friday 24th January 2020 - The Golden Nugget Glints No More... Thanks to Craig, who has been out photographing again. Most of his recent imagery will be revealed here soon, but for now, he's captured The Golden Nugget Casino as it is now - see It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water - though we've discovered it closed in 2014. He has also taken photos of the building that used to house Charlie Chester's Casino, seen in the same episode.

Friday 17th January 2020 - Early Episodes Go Blu... Thanks to Craig for supplying Blu-ray grabs for the Locations pages for My Late Lamented Friend and Partner, But What a Sweet Little Room, For the Girl Who Has Everything, A Sentimental Journey, You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, The Smile Behind the Veil and It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, all of which are now fully Blu!

Wednesday 15th January 2020 - New Location Identified... Congratulations to Craig Robins for finding a Randall and Hopkirk location which we'd not even previously included in our locations page for You Can Always Find a Fall Guy - it's the second of the hospitals that Marty visits, the Westminster Hospital on Dean Ryle Street. Craig has also provided Blu-ray grabs for all the hospitals in that sequence.

Monday 13th January 2020 - Central ITV Repeats 1987... We're delighted to have heard from Mike Dodgson, who has been able to supply repeat dates with confirmed episodes for Central ITV 1987, based upon his notes taken at the time. Thanks, Mike. Much appreciated!

Tuesday 7th January 2020 - From Our Roving Photographer... Ever keen to keep the Locations pages here up to date where possible, Craig Robins has been out and about with his camera and this has resulted in updated photos for the following episodes and locations: But What A Sweet Little Room (Occupation Road, WD18), It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water (Store Street, WC1), The Man from Nowhere (Lauderdale Road, W9) and A Disturbing Case (Lauderdale Road again). Thanks, Craig!

Saturday 4th January 2020 - Further locations identified... First off, Happy New Year to all visitors and contributors! Our first update of the new decade... Thanks to the combined efforts of Geoff Dodd, Anthony McKay and Vince Cox, we've been able to narrow down Vendetta for a Dead Man Location (4B) to Dyott Street. Additionally, Rhett Burns has shown our research for When Did You Start to Stop Seeing Things? to be left wanting in one respect. We thought that Location 7 was Well End Lane (7A) and Buckettsland Lane (7B), whereas Rhett has correctly identified both locations as being on Blackhorse Lane - and sent over photographs to prove it. We are always delighted to receive corrections like this. Thanks to everyone involved in today's update!

Also... One of the reasons for the infrequent updates here is that I've been editing a book about the classic early 70s children's TV series Catweazle, and this is now available from Hidden Tiger. Proceeds help finance The Catweazle Fan Club. Details here: Tis Magic! Our Memories of Catweazle.

Sunday 29th December 2019 - Who's Who?: A Further Polish... The Who's Who? pages from A-L have now received a thorough spruce-up by Denis Kirsanov, with actor biographies being checked and updated with new information. Many thanks also to Rhett Burns, who has identified the one filming location for A Disturbing Case that eluded us - Location 6, Blackhorse Lane, EN6.

May I wish all visitors and contributors a very Merry Christmas and an excellent 2020!

Saturday 28th December 2019 - Locations: A Disturbing Case added... While we were putting the recently added locations page together for The House on Haunted Hill,  we were also working on one for the subsequent episode, A Disturbing Case, and this too has now been polished off (with a solitary 'unknown' to return to at some point). Again, this would not have been possible for me to pull together without John Holburn, Vince Cox, Anthony McKay and Craig Robins contributing to the finished result.

Sunday 22nd December 2019 - Locations: The House on Haunted Hill added... A not-so-little Christmas treat for Randall and Hopkirk fans! Thanks to the superb work of John Holburn, Vince Cox, Anthony McKay and our brilliant official photographer Craig Robins, who has again shot some beautiful modern images for the site, this Christmas I'm delighted to have been able to bring together a Locations page for The House on Haunted Hill. As you'll see it's almost certainly been the most challenging of the episodes for 'then and now' images, since this is one where we are shown a location - the Edgwarebury Hotel - extensively, outside AND inside. Enjoy!

Tuesday 12th November 2019 - TVS Repeats... Further diligent research from Ros Connors, who has kindly supplied TVS repeats information for 1988.

Monday 11th November 2019 - LWT Repeats... Many thanks to Ros Connors for sending me her research into LWT repeat dates for Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Thanks also to Simon Coward for some further fine tuning.

Saturday 9th November 2019 - Transmission Tweaks... Great work by my friend Simon Coward, who has chased up details of three 1970/1971 ATV transmissions in the Coventry local press, meaning that the ATV First Transmission details are finally complete and that we now know that their repeats of Randall and Hopkirk began earlier than we suspected and information for both the 1971-72 and the 1973 repeat runs is now 99.9% completed. Cheers, Simon!

Sunday 13th October 2019 - Who's Fine-Tuning?... Denis Kirsanov, that's who! Denis has now fine-tuned the research for all actors (bar those added yesterday) between A-L in the Who's Who? section. Great work, Denis!

Saturday 12th October 2019 - Who's Who? New Episode... Many thanks to Darren Senior for his work on this section, which now additionally includes - from When Did You Start to Stop Seeing Things - Keith Barron, Basil Dignam, Rosemary Donnelly, David Downer, Clifford Evans, John Garvin, Philip James, Bessie Love, Reginald Marsh, Peter Stephens and David Stoll.

Wednesday 25th September 2019 - Who's Who? Super-Fine-Tuning, A-C... Denis is really getting up a head of steam now, and the actors/actresses in A, B and C have been fine-tuned to within an inch of their lives... Big updates to Graham Armitage, Dick Bentley, Harold Berens, Joby Blanshard, John Bott, Penny Brahms, Gabrielle Brune, John Cazabon, Tom Chatto, Basil Clarke, Carol Cleveland, Michael Coles and Tracey Crisp. In many cases, this is completely fresh research that is confirmed and contradicts error-filled internet sources!

Saturday 21st September 2019 - Who's Who? Fine-Tuning... My thanks to Denis Kirsanov for sending an exhaustive set of tweaks, corrections and new information for the Who's Who? section. Actors receiving the most significant updates are: Tony Allen, Roger Avon, Anthony Baird, Paul Bertoya, Caroline Blakiston, Ann Castle, Michael Coles, Adrienne Corri, Howard Goorney and Barrie Ingham.

Wednesday 18th September 2019 - Vendetta for a Dead Man: Who's Who?... With perfect timing considering Sunday's update, Darren Senior has written another set of Randall and Hopkirk biographies, this time for Vendetta for a Dead Man. They comprise: Ann Castle, Henry Davies, William Dysart, Barrie Ingham, Richard Owens, Ron Pember, Colin Rix, George Sewell, Sue Vaughan and Timothy West.

Sunday 15th September 2019 - The Man from Moscow... I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome my dear friend Denis Kirsanov, a Russian friend with whom I've collaborated in the past on my Avengers Declassified website (and for his own excellent site Steedumbrella), to Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified). Denis is a remarkable researcher and he's proved this yet again by finding biographical information for seventeen actors and actresses that had eluded us so far: Denis has helped beef up and fine tune the info on this site for... Michael Bird, Edward Caddick, Jill Chartrell, Basil Clarke, Tracey Crisp, Peter J. Elliott, Romo Gorrara, Michael Graham, Juliet Harmer, Stuart Hoyle, Terence Plummer, Edina Ronay, Paddy Ryan, Alex Scott, Ingrid Sylvester, Don Vernon and Fred Wood.

Wednesday 4th September 2019 - Who's Who... I'm delighted to welcome Darren Senior back to Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) today. Darren's supplied new biographies for the actors seen in The Man from Nowhere: James Bree, Ray Brooks, Michael Gwynn, Neil McCarthy and Patrick Newell.

Tuesday 20th August 2019 - A Saintly White Jag... Not entirely on topic, but this fascinated me, so I thought I'd run with it! Michael Cassidy dropped me a line recently and said that he once owned one of the ITC White Jaguars. You can read his story here: The ITC White Jag: A Saintly Coda.

Wednesday 14th August 2019 - Dead Ringer... A bit of a leftfield update today, to add a new feature article about a possible appearance by Marty Hopkirk in the classic British thriller Get Carter - Dead Ringer!: Is That Marty Hopkirk in the Get Carter Coffin? Special thanks to David Costelloe, Stu Davis, Geoff Dodd and Alys Hayes for their help with this feature.

Thursday 1st August 2019 - From Our Roving Photographer... Further sterling work from Craig Robins (I nearly typed Craig Sterling there... wrong series!) who has been out in the heat photographing Randall and Hopkirk locales for our delectation. The bulk of this work is under wraps for a short while, but in the meantime Craig has sent a few updates of images for You Can Always Find a Fall Guy (St. John's Wood High Street) and Who Killed Cock Robin? (The Edgwarebury Hotel).

Monday 22nd July 2019 - The Car in X... Thanks to the eagle-eyed spotting abilities of Kevin Thomas and Geoff Dodd, a further Department S appearance of Jeff's Vauxhall has been added to the appropriate Programme Guide pages. The episode in question is The Man from X.

Wednesday 26th June 2019 - The Trouble with Bloopers... Just spotted another R&H blooper today in The Trouble with Women... When Jeff comes to at the end of the episode there is a visual mistake. Check out the programme guide page for details.

Tuesday 25th June 2019 - Cock Robin Blu-ray Grabs... Thanks to Craig Robins for supplying Blu-ray grabs for all 'Then' images for the Who Killed Cock Robin? locations page.

Thursday 20th June 2019 - A Sentimental Spruce-up... Continuing the process of sprucing up the locations pages, A Sentimental Journey has had the makeover team in today, as have You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, Who Killed Cock Robin?, The Smile Behind the Veil and It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water. Additional 'THEN' images are now present on these pages and, as with Episodes 1-3, process shots have been given their own section at the foot of each page.

Wednesday 19th June 2019 - Locations Update... Today I've added some additional images for But What a Sweet Little Room (Springfield Road) and For the Girl Who Has Everything (Hilfield Castle). In the latter case, I have also added some 'NOW' images, which are in the main taken from the Fingersmith TV series of 2005. Access to this property is not forthcoming and this seemed the most sensible approach.

Tuesday 18th June 2019 - ITC/Randall and Hopkirk event this October... I'm delighted to be able to announce that, following last year's highly successful and enjoyable event A Celebration of ITC, there is to be a sequel celebration hosted by Quoit Media at the iconic Elstree Studios on Saturday 19th October 2019 (doors open at 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start).

Wednesday 12th June 2019 - Tiger Cub (Not Deceased)... Some positive news today - a Randall and Hopkirk vehicle has been resurrected by its owner Bruce Honey, who has supplied information and photos which I've included in a feature article for the site - Tiger Cub (Not Deceased).

Saturday 8th June 2019 - A New Locations Page... Our 20th location page is now done and dusted! Take a look at the fruits of our labours... Could You Recognise the Man Again? Huge thanks to Anthony McKay, John Holburn, Vince Cox as well as Craig Robins, who not only photographed all the London locations for the page but also fine tuned some of the locations information!

Wednesday 15th May 2019 - More Who's Who... Many thanks to Darren Senior who has supplied biographies for the actors seen in Money to Burn: Roger Avon, Norman Beaton, Tom Bowman, Linda Cole, Roy Desmond, John Glyn-Jones, John Hughes, Sue Lloyd, Olga Lowe, T.P. McKenna, Michael Sheard and Don Vernon.

Monday 8th April 2019 - Location photos updated... Craig Robins has been out and about again, bringing our photos of Lauderdale Road and Hamilton Terrace bang up to date. Episodes updated this time: The Man from Nowhere and Vendetta for a Dead Man.

Saturday 30th March 2019 - Location photos updated... Great work - again! - from Craig Robins, who has been out and about photographing location sites for the website. Episodes updated: All Work and No Pay, When the Spirit Moves You, The Man from Nowhere, Vendetta for a Dead Man and Just for the Record.

Saturday 23rd February 2019 - Filming date uncovered... Thanks to Anthony McKay and Jaz Wiseman who have respectively spotted and made me aware of a production slate on YouTube which has permitted the nailing down of the filming at Barnet Police Station for Could You Recognise the Man Again to 13th February 1969, a smidge over fifty years ago!

Wednesday 6th February 2019 - Location photos updated... Thanks to Craig Robins for supplying newly shot 'Now' photos of Biddulph Road, Hall Road, Lauderdale Road and Sutherland Road for All Work and No Pay and The Man from Nowhere!

Monday 4th February 2019 - Location Find! Well done to Alex Bulgo for spotting a previously unidentified filming location seen in The Man from Nowhere (Albany Street, NW1). Always good to solve mysteries and Alex has managed to solve one that's been biting at me for quite a while. Thanks for getting in touch, Alex!

Saturday 19th January 2019 - Locations Photos Refreshed... Some absolutely stunning work by Craig Robins, who has re-photographed a number of locations for the site. Episodes benefitting from his talent and attention to detail are But What a Sweet Little Room, A Sentimental Journey, You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, That's How Murder Snowballs, Money to Burn, Vendetta for a Dead Man and Just for the Record.

Tuesday 13th November 2018 - Tyne Tees 1986-87 Repeats Updated / Press Added... Thanks to some excellent research work by Simon Morris, we can now present a much clearer picture of the 1980s repeats in the Tyne Tees ITV region. Additionally, Simon has sent along some press clippings from the Kingston Gleaner, The Liverpool Echo and The Stage. Thanks, Simon!

Thursday 1st November 2018 - LWT 1970-1971 Repeats Researched... Some stunning research work by Simon Morris that I have to share with you all today. Simon has looked into the London Weekend Television repeats of 1970-1971 (the earliest repeats we have yet found) and I'm delighted to present them here at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified). Thanks for all the hard work, Simon! Splendid stuff!

Saturday 27th October 2018 - Another Locations Brush Up... Following on from Friday's update, I've processed the rest of Craig's excellent new photos. Take a look at: When the Spirit Moves You, Money to Burn and Vendetta for a Dead Man. All told, there have been 35 expertly photographed new location shots added in the last two days. Thanks a million, Craig. You're a legend!

Friday 26th October 2018 - Updated Locations... Hot on the heels of the Just for the Record locations being added to the site, we're fine tuning many of the previous locations pages. Many thanks to Craig Robins who has rephotographed a good number of shots for the following episodes: My Late Lamented Friend and Partner, A Sentimental Journey, You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, Who Killed Cock Robin?, It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, The Trouble with Women, Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? and Never Trust a Ghost. More to follow over the coming day or two.

Wednesday 24th October 2018 - Just for the Record Locations... After several months work, the locations page for Just for the Record has been added to the site today - and it really is a page of epic proportions! Nineteen down, seven to go! This one wouldn't have been possible without the sterling help of John Holburn, Vince Cox and Anthony McKay, and, without meaning to denigrate the work of these fine gentlemen, would have been far less impressive without the talent and dedication of Craig Robins, who has spent many hours photographing the locations for the page. Thank you all, folks!

Friday 12th October 2018 - Repeats, Repeats, Repeats... Further sterling work from David Hamilton today, who has submitted repeats information for Scottish Television (1974), Southern Television (1974) and Yorkshire Television (1974-1975). Additionally, I have performed further research on this topic and have been able to add significantly to the Repeats section as a whole. Finally, I have re-organised the ITV listings to take account of the changes of franchise holders in 1982.

Thursday 11th October 2018 - Anglia Repeats 1975... Thanks to David Hamilton for researching the 1975 Anglia repeats, which have been added to the site today.

Friday 5th October 2018 - Annette Andre at the Museum of Comedy in November... Annette Andre will be talking to Sam Westerby about her glittering career including Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), The Ed Sullivan Show, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and The Saint at London's Museum of Comedy at 7.00pm on Saturday 3rd November.

Her memoir Where Have I Been All My Life? will be on sale at the meet and greet after the show.

Tickets for the event are available at museumofcomedy.com.

Annette will also be appearing at Elstree Studios two weeks later on Saturday 17th November for A Celebration of ITC - tickets from Quoit Media.

Tickets are selling fast, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Thursday 30th August 2018 - Fresh Location Photos... Craig Robins has come up trumps again and has photographed two locations which could do with a freshening up. Locations pages given the brush up are: The Trouble with Women (Threadneedle Street) and Never Trust a Ghost (Newman Street / Oxford Street).

Monday 27th August 2018 - 1973 ATV Repeats Information... Huge thanks to my old friend David Hamilton who has researched the 1973 ATV repeats and the Anglia ones of 1987-1988.

Sunday 12th August 2018 - Updated locations photos... Thanks to the frankly brilliant Craig Robins, many of our previous locations 'now' photos have been revisited, updated and improved. Craig has been out and about in the summer sun photographing the venues and the standard is exceptional. He has gone to some considerable lengths to match the 'then' shots, even mounting his camera on a long pole to get high shots. Remarkable! Episodes which feature his new photos are: My Late Lamented Friend and Partner, A Sentimental Journey, You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, The Trouble with Women, When the Spirit Moves You, Never Trust a Ghost, Money to Burn and The Man from Nowhere.

Don't forget the exciting update below, either!

Monday 30th July 2018 - Annette André Autobiography...

News just in of pre-ordering opening on Annette André's new autobiography - Where Have I Been All My Life - A Memoir.

Image © Quoit Media / Alan Hayes, 2018

For someone who has professed “terminal shyness,” Annette André has written her memoir with arresting honesty and generosity. From a lonely childhood in Sydney, Australia, and overcoming a chronic illness to become a professional ballet dancer, Where Have I Been All My Life? reveals the truth behind her storybook romance with a famous bullfighter, how Benny Hill proposed marriage, and why a chance conversation with Prince Charles helped to change the course of her life.

Guest starring with Roger Moore in more of The Saint episodes than any other actress, Annette quickly became one of the most popular TV actors of Britain’s “Golden Age,” in such classic series as The Avengers, The Prisoner, The Persuaders! and her most memorable role of all, as Jeannie in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). From her fly–on–the–wall view of Burton and Taylor’s romance while filming Cleopatra to the perils of shooting A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, and her appearances on the West End stage, Annette found writing the story of her life “excruciatingly hard work, but like a good orgasm, damn well worth the effort."

This hardcover book is due to be published on 16th September 2018.

I've had the privilege of designing the dust jacket and photo section for this terrific book and I'd recommend any Randall and Hopkirk fan to buy it.

The first 400 pre-orders will be signed by Annette, and if you're in the first 200, you'll also get a personally dedicated signed photo!

There is a 25% discount until release date, too!

Order at Quoit Media to avoid disappointment!

Thursday 12th July 2018 - More Work But Still No Pay... Further All Work and No Pay Blu-ray grabs have been added today thanks to Geoff Dodd. Cheers, Geoff!

Friday 6th July 2018 - A New Locations Page... We're delighted to be able to add another locations page to the site today, for When Did You Start to Stop Seeing Things? This page is particularly pleasing to add, as we think we've locked down all the locations for the episode (which is often not the case) and this would not have been possible without the sterling efforts of Craig Robins, Anthony McKay and the usual team. Thanks, all!

Thursday 5th July 2018 - The Not-At-All Disturbing Case of the Roving Photographer... Many thanks to Craig Robins who is rapidly becoming Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified)'s footpad! Craig has taken new 'Now' photos that greatly improve the locations pages for My Late Lamented Friend and Partner and Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?.

Monday 25th June 2018 - When Did You Start to See Things Again? Delighted today to add yet another new section to Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified). This time it's the turn of Repeat Transmissions to get a place at the site, and the first pages of information have been added to this section today, courtesy of the researches of James Heath and my own at BBC Genome. To begin with, a page has been added for the 1994-1995 and 1995-1996 BBC2 repeat runs. More to follow. Read on...

A Word of Thanks... While I work in the background on the forthcoming Locations page for When Did You Start to Stop Seeing Things (with the help of John Holburn, Anthony McKay and Vince Cox), I wanted to post a message of thanks to Craig Robins, who has recently contacted me via the website and has been visiting filming locations and sending some stunning photographs which he has kindly taken specially for Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified). In all cases, they are excellent and these are being added as they come in to the locations pages. The latest are two updated photos for My Late Lamented Friend and Partner and Craig has already forwarded me a series of photos for When Did You Start to Stop Seeing Things which will form part of the new page for that episode. Thanks, Craig - your help is hugely appreciated!

Friday 22nd June 2018 - All Work and No Pay... Many thanks to Geoff Dodd for sending in the first batch of Blu-ray grabs for the All Work and No Pay Locations page. More to follow!

Sunday 17th June 2018 - Who's Who: Never Trust a Ghost... Darren Senior has kindly provided Who's Who? biographies for the actors and actresses who appeared in Never Trust a Ghost - Caroline Blakiston, Philip Madoc, Donald Morley, Brian Oulton, Edina Ronay and Peter Vaughan.

Saturday 16th June 2018 - Lauderdale Road Photos Updated... Many thanks to Craig Robins for sending in a series of updated photos of Lauderdale Road, for My Late Lamented Friend and Partner, All Work and No Pay, The Man from Nowhere and Vendetta for a Dead Man.

Also added today, a location find by Geoff Dodd, Albert Street in London NW1, When the Spirit Moves You location 5G. A remarkable find!

Friday 15th June 2018 - Lots Today! Firstly, thanks to the marvellous Vanessa Bergman for helping to identify the dancer seen auditioning in It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water as Jill Chartell, who has now also been added to Who's Who - Extras. There is also a whole new section - and another one on the way. The new section concerns press coverage of the series and has been made possible by the diligent and generous research of Simon Morris. Thanks, Simon. Great stuff!

Sunday 18th March 2018 - Whoever Heard of a Ghost Blu-raying? Thanks to Geoff Dodd for sending over Blu-ray 'Then' grabs to improve our location page for Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?

Sunday 25th February 2018 - Vendetta for a Dead Man Even More Located... Well done to Geoff Dodd for tracking down one of our 'unknowns' - which turns out to be on Gower Street. Vendetta for a Dead Man - Locations.

Friday 23rd February 2018 - Vendetta for a Dead Man Located... Cue fanfare - an incredibly difficult episode (in location spotting terms) finally tackled. Vendetta for a Dead Man - Locations.

Order here: Playboys, Spies and Private Eyes - Inspired by ITC (Quoit Media)

Tuesday 5th December 2017 - Playboys, Spies and Private Eyes - New ITC Book... I'm delighted to announce that pre-ordering is open for a brand new book about the ITC action series.

Playboys, Spies and Private Eyes - Inspired by ITC comprises 35 chapters in which ITC fans reflect on what the individual series mean to them.

I've co-edited it with Rick Davy and the book is filled with beautiful artwork by Shaqui Le Vesconte. Even better, it has a foreword written by Annette Andre and an afterword by Elaine Spooner, daughter of Dennis Spooner, who of course created Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Proceeds are being donated at Annette's suggestion to the Born Free Foundation.

The book will be available at a discounted price during the pre-order period, but publication is due for mid-December, so please do get your orders in quickly.

Tuesday 13th June 2017 - Hitting the Cliff... Thanks to Jack Yan for spotting another ITC 'car over the cliff' shot reuse in The Benny Hill Show. Details at Features: The ITC White Jaguar.

Monday 15th May 2017 - Who's Who gets an update... Darren Senior's back on the case with the Who's Who section, this time for the episode When the Spirit Moves You, meaning we now have entries for Penny Brahms, Peter J. Elliott, Michael Gothard, Richard Kerley, Reg Lye, Anthony Marlowe, Kieron Moore, Bill Reed and Anton Rodgers.

Tuesday 4th April 2017 - More Blu-ray Grabs... Top quality Blu-ray grabs have today been added to the locations page for Never Trust a Ghost, with thanks to Geoff Dodd for capturing and supplying them. Geoff grabbed a few additional shots of Springfield Road (location of the Randall and Hopkirk office), so we've added those to the page. With the buildings long demolished, they are quite valuable to location spotters!

We're delighted also to announce a new book from one of the people behind this website - Alan Hayes - concerning the 1960 British TV series Police Surgeon. Dr Brent's Casebook looks into this mysterious mostly-lost series and explores its legacy. Available now from Hidden Tiger.

Thursday 9th March 2017 - That's How Blu-ray Snowballs... High quality Blu-ray grabs have today been added to the locations page for That's How Murder Snowballs, with thanks to Geoff Dodd for supplying them.

Wednesday 1st March 2017 - What's on at the Palace Theatre... Watching Network's glorious Blu-ray edition of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) is revealing little details that were hard to spot on the older VHS and DVD versions of the series. While taking a look at That's How Murder Snowballs today, I spotted the poster for the play that was running at the time of exterior filming at Watford's Palace Theatre. Take a look at the programme guide page to see what. Coincidentally, it was linked to another of my great loves, Monty Python's Flying Circus. I also spotted an additional blooper that I'd not noticed before (though it would have been just as apparent on the DVD - I just missed it!). It involves the character of Snowy in the same episode.

Tuesday 14th February 2017 - All Work and Only Five Actors... Darren Senior's Who's Who? section continues today with the actors featured in All Work and No Pay - surprisingly, there are only five credited outside of the three regulars - so here are the fruits of his latest labours: Alfred Burke (one of my favourite actors - if you haven't seen the Public Eye television series... do!), Adrienne Corri, Noel Davis, Dudley Foster and Michael Rathborne.

Saturday 11th February 2017 - More Backlot Footage Confirmed... Thanks to information given in a camera script for Who Killed Cock Robin, it's now been possible to confirm that several previously unidentified sequences from this episode were filmed in the backlot woodland area of Elstree Studios. Also today, it can be revealed that the footage of Collins' Music Hall seen in It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water was originally filmed for the Ealing film Davy (1958). Thanks to Jaz Wiseman and Anthony McKay for their valuable help in these discoveries.

Monday 6th February 2017 - It's Supposed to be Sharper than DVD... and believe me, it is. Today, we've added Blu-ray grabs to Locations - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, with huge thanks to Geoff Dodd, who captured them specially for our site.

Thursday 2nd February 2017 - We Wished We Could Find the Wishing Well... and we have. We've long deliberated over the filming location for the wishing well in Locations - The Smile Behind the Veil (Location 8), and thanks to an original script provided by Vanessa Bergman, we've been able to answer the question. The script specifies that the wishing well was to be setup as an Elstree Studios exterior. This means that it was a prop (which we'd guessed) sited in the perimeter woodland (which we had only suspected).

Also today, the "Coming Soon" images for 'Now' views of locations yet to be photographed have been replaced with this:

Wednesday 1st February 2017 - You Can Always Find the Backlot... While having a leisurely watch of Network's excellent Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) Blu-rays today, I was struck by something I'm sure I hadn't noticed before: that in You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, the action suddenly switches to the backlot from the Grim's Dyke entrance driveway. And on checking our page here, I was right - we'd missed it. Mark it down to seeing the show in HD for the first time. Anyway, it is now duly included in the episode's locations page!

And do buy the Blu-rays. They're bloody wonderful! Order link here.

Tuesday 31st January 2017 - The Woodland from Somewhere... Thanks to Anthony McKay, the filming location of the woodland scenes in Locations - The Man from Nowhere has been pinpointed to an area of the Elstree backlot. Tony has also helped us nail down the Kingston locations in that episode and Locations - All Work and No Pay.

Friday 27th January 2017 - The Man from Nowhere Located... As promised yesterday, there's a new locations page added today, the first in I don't know how long! Certainly it's been too long since the last one... These pages do take a lot of time and effort to research and compile (this one's been on the way since before Christmas!), but we are determined to make the next one appear in a more reasonable timescale. So, cue fanfare, we present Locations - The Man from Nowhere... with thanks especially to Tony McKay of A Guide to Avengerland for helping me out with pinpointing the Fife Road location.

Thursday 26th January 2017 - Who's Who in That's How Murder Snowballs... Today Darren Senior returns to add to the Who's Who section, having written the following new entries: Robin Askwith, Simon Barnes, James Belchamber, Harold Berens, Arthur Brough, John Cazabon, Grazina Frame, Michael Griffiths, Victor Harrington, Patrick Holt, Stuart Hoyle, Sir David Jason, Valerie Leon, Marie Makino, Luan Peters, John Styles and Tony Thawnton. Another update tomorrow - a new locations page!

Wednesday 25th January 2017 - More about Ewhurst... The creation of the new features section has led me to revisit the articles that I've migrated there. Consequently, today I am pleased to have been able to add a fair bit of additional detail about the mysterious Ewhurst Manor - Arthur de Crecy's house in the country (But What a Sweet Little Room) - though please do be aware that there is material of a mild adult content on these pages. I have also found another magazine feature about the saucy goings-on at Ewhurst and this is reproduced in full at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified), and is linked from the feature page. Finally, the Ewhurst page now opens with a glorious Blu-ray grab courtesy of Geoff Dodd.

Monday 23rd January 2017 - New Section added... There's work going on behind the scenes on the next locations page - it's just taking longer to complete than expected, so in the meantime, a couple of things to report. First is that we have done a little re-jigging to allow for certain, more general information that was hidden away in the Programmes section to be given a discrete section entitled Features. The first two features to be ported across and spruced up concern The ITC White Jaguar and The Hunt of De Crecy's. Second, many thanks to Geoff Dodd for supplying a Blu-ray grab from But What a Sweet Little Room that shows the Randall and Hopkirk office door sign more clearly than I'd seen before. This has permitted me to identify all the other companies that shared the property with our heroes. Not of any huge import, of course, but it made me happy!

Monday 28th November 2016 - More Added to Who's Who... Continuing in catch-up mode, today I'm pleased to finally share Darren's actor biographies of those who appeared in Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?: Sean Barry-Weske, Alexandra Bastedo, Richard Caldicot, Demi Caldren, Vic Chapman, Ivor Dean, John Fraser, Romo Gorrara, Peter Hughes, Robin John, Charles Lloyd Pack, John Richmond, Mike Stevens and Philip Weston.

Sunday 27th November 2016 - Back to Haunt You... It's been a busy old year has 2016 and unfortunately the Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) site has got something of a bum deal. It was going great guns earlier in the year but a computer failure meant I lost all my emails, a good deal of research materials and, after weeks of trying to get things back together again, I have to admit, my motivation too. After a summer in which I completed an ITC fan film that I started in 1989 (yes, a 27 year germination period!) and stayed at ITC fan mecca Portmeirion, I'm finally getting my mojo back. At last! Apologies for the break in transmission.

To begin with I'm finishing off processing Darren Senior's Who's Who updates from The Trouble with Women, comprising entries for Tony Allen, Douglas Cooper, Howard Goorney, Keith Grenville, Harry Hutchinson, Frederick Treves, Fred Wood, and, from The Smile Behind the Veil, Maxwell Craig.

Finally, some very exciting news is that Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) will be receiving a High Definition release (presumably on Blu-ray) from Network in the New Year. Check out the pop-up teaser on their homepage!

Monday 22nd February 2016 - Drewe Henley RIP... We're sad to report the death on 14th February of Drewe Henley, who Randall and Hopkirk fans will remember as Tony in A Sentimental Journey. His biography in Who's Who? has been revised accordingly and a small amount of additional detail has been added. Rest in peace.

Wednesday 17th February 2016 - More Who's Who... Darren's updates to The Trouble with Women begin today with entries added for Neal Arden, Edward Brayshaw, Denise Buckley, Arnold Diamond, Paul Maxwell, Gwen Nelson, Robert Russell and Nik Zaran. Thanks also to Garry Herring for tracking down the Tyne Tees transmission for Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave.

Wednesday 10th February 2016 - Who's Who Update... Darren's updates to It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water conclude today with entries added for Liz Fraser, John Hallam, Robert Harbin and Michael Ripper.

Tuesday 2nd February 2015 - Who's Who Update... Today Darren Senior takes a look at the following actors from It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water: Graham Armitage, Felix Aylmer, Dick Bentley, Pauline Chamberlain, Meredith Edwards, Earl Green, Neil McCallum and John A. Tinn. More soon...

Tuesday 19th January 2015 - Which Actor Killed Cock Robin? After an extended Christmas and New Year break (we hope you had a great time celebrating!), we're back and are continuing with filling out the Who's Who? section. Today, it's Who Killed Cock Robin? that Darren Senior turns his attention to, and the following pages have therefore received updates: B, E, G, H, L, M, S, W.

Sunday 20th December 2015 - You Can Always Find an Actor... We're full steam ahead with Who's Who? now, as Darren has now supplied the entries for You Can Always Find a Fall Guy, meaning that the following pages have new entries: B, C, E, G, H, L, M, S, W, Y.

Saturday 19th December 2015 - Actors Who Have Everything... It's the turn of For the Girl Who Has Everything to be tackled by Darren Senior for Who's Who?, meaning that the following pages have new entries: B, C, D, J, L, M, R.

Tuesday 15th December 2015 - More Who's Who... We continue today with A Sentimental Journey, meaning that the following pages have new entries: B, C, T and Extras. Another episode to follow soon!

Monday 14th December 2015 - Who's Who... Today's Who's Who? update by Darren Senior is centred on the episode A Sentimental Journey, meaning that the following pages have new entries: B, C, H, M, R, S. More from this episode to follow.

Sunday 13th December 2015 - The Day We Met Gloria Marsh... It was a great pleasure today to spend some time with actress and singer Grazina Frame who played Gloria Marsh in That's How Murder Snowballs. Grazina kindly came to a Randall and Hopkirk get-together to chat with us - details and photo in "And Finally..." on the programme's episode guide page.

Sunday 22nd November 2015 - Who's Who? - New Section... A big day at Randall and Hopkirk's offices today, as we are delighted to welcome Darren Senior along to front a brand new section at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified). Who's Who? will grow to contain biographical information about all actors and actresses who appeared in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Darren has been working on this section for several weeks now, and we are pleased to be able to open the doors today. It's not yet complete, of course, but it will grow over the coming weeks and months to become the definitive guide to the series' cast.

Sunday 21st June 2015 - High Street Shops... Thanks to Chris Bentley for his tour of Shenley Road last night on the Avengers Dead Man's Treasure Hunt which permitted me to photograph a few shops that have changed hands, meaning that our 'Now...' photos in these instances are now bang up to date. New photos have therefore been added for: A Sentimental Journey (location 5C), It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water (locations 4D & 4E), and Money to Burn (location 3).

Saturday 20th June 2015 - More on Money to Burn... Thanks to Anthony McKay for going through our location page and making a few suggestions, tweaks and additional identifications. See the results here - Locations - Money to Burn.

Thursday 18th June 2015 - New Then and Now for Money to Burn... A brand new location guide today, for Money to Burn. It'll need a few tweaks and I still have to add the aerial views seen from Angela's plane, but for the most part it's complete.

Tuesday 16th June 2015 - And we're really back... There's a real danger in telling people "we're back" when the next update is a full nine months away.. Sorry about that! I've gone through a tough time during the last year with ill health but all is back on track at last, so hopefully it won't be nine months until the next tweak to this site!

Today's update is thanks to James Owen Heath, who has dropped me a line with a great theory about the redubbing of "Fenwick" in But What a Sweet Little Room. I've revised what we say in the 'Declassified' section about it as a result and James has written an additional paragraph on the subject that is intriguing. I've also cleaned up Locations - The Smile Behind the Veil to combine Locations 3J and 3K (into 3J) as both are on Rowley Lane.

Thursday 11th September 2014 - And we're back... I'm pleased to say that Simon Coward has performed some further research on the Border Television transmissions of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and consequently, we now have transmission dates for the first run of the series in that ITV region (though a handful of episodes could not be identified). Great work, Simon, and many thanks!

Saturday 19th July 2014 - Apologies that the dearth of updates has continued. I'm busy writing a new book about The Avengers and sadly the site has got a little overlooked in the process. A small update today, partly to stick my head over the parapet to say that I'm still here and that this site is not dead, has not ceased to be and is not an ex-website (Monty Python jokes are de rigeur, I believe...) and also to point out that two images of Ivinghoe Beacon, seen in Locations - It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water, have been updated with more accurate "now" shots thanks to John Holburn.

Friday 7th March 2014 - Due to upheaval in my personal life - a house move, so at least something positive! - updates here had to be put on hold for a while. I'm pleased to say that Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) is not only back up and running now, but it is coming to you from a town where the series was filmed. It's quite strange walking past filming locations when I'm out shopping, but I'm not complaining! A few tweaks to get the ball rolling again: first of all to Locations - Smile Behind the Veil to correct the street name of one of the filming locations and secondly, I have Vince to thank for photographing filming locations as they are now for Locations - All Work and No Pay, which is now in much better shape than before. Cheers Vinny!

Wednesday 15th January 2014 - Thanks to Vince for sending two new photographs for the Locations - When the Spirit Moves You page. These show views of Springfield Road in 1991 and today.

Sunday 12th January 2014 - Alexandra Bastedo (1946-2014) One of those updates we really don't want to have to make... Sadly, the actress Alexandra Bastedo passed away this afternoon after losing her fight with cancer. Alexandra was a lovely woman who will be remembered by ITC fans for her memorable roles in The Champions and Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). From a personal perspective, I am particularly upset today, as a few months ago, Alexandra showed great kindness and humanity in sending get well wishes to a good friend of mine who had been hospitalised, and who is a great fan of hers. A great loss. Alexandra will be much missed. You can read about Alexandra's life on the programme guide page from Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?

Sunday 5th January 2014 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! And you've never had it so good at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified)! The Christmas to New Year break has given us plenty of time to beef up the website and this has now led to the addition of the third set of programme location guide pages for episodes since 20th December. This time, it's the turn of Episode 14, Never Trust a Ghost (yes, we are now over halfway through our work in these areas!). Take a look at its programme guide and locations pages. All other programme guide pages have been revised to a greater or lesser degree. We are also grateful to Jaz Wiseman, who has kindly supplied a couple of additional photographs for the Edwin Astley interview, which feature Edwin himself. Thanks to Jaz, and also to Anthony McKay, who has been working tirelessly on awkward-to-determine locations.

Monday 30th December 2013: Eagle-eyed visitors will have noticed a new section has been in the last few days, but its content has not been publicised here. That's because the Interviews section features its first feature, an interview with Edwin Astley by Vanessa Bergman, and she and I have been fine tuning the piece - which is reprinted from Vanessa's RAHDAS newsletters and has been subtly revised for web purposes - and adding illustrations. Hopefully, there will be more to come in this section.

Sunday 29th December 2013: Following a quick recce to Aldenham Country Park, we have been able to confirm a location from All Work and No Pay, namely the lake seen in the episode. Thanks to Anthony McKay for the suggestion that the reservoir there may be what we were looking for, and to Alys Hayes for her photographic skills.

Saturday 28th December 2013: Making use of the Christmas to New Year break to make headway on the site... This has led to yet another episode being tackled, this time When the Spirit Moves You. This update boasts new Programme Guide and Locations pages. We've also found time to rethink the programme guide layout a little, meaning that actor biographies have been split off into their own sub-section of the progamme guide pages called 'Appearing This Week'. Many of these entries have been expanded and had photographs added. Additionally, the Transmission pages now state whether original regional episode transmissions were black and white. This innovation has also been carried across to all Programme Guide pages (under UK Regional Premieres).

Thursday 26th December 2013: Read down the page for news of our most recent updates, including new Programme Guide and Locations pages for All Work and No Pay, but today's update concerns a forthcoming event at the Grim's Dyke Hotel on the evening of Thursday 16th January 2014. A slightly belated Merry Christmas to all our visitors and contributors!

TV & FILM LOCATION TALK
including Episode 5 R&H – You Can Always Find a Fall Guy

On the evening of Thursday 16th January 2014 (7.45pm) there will be a talk and short location tour covering the history of Grim's Dyke in Film & TV. The talk will be given by Robin Cooke who helped develop the location tours at Grim's Dyke and who has led tours to some of the remoter UK film/TV locations including St Kilda, Orkney and Staffa.

Grim's Dyke acted as a location for The Avengers and many ITC productions including Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), The Saint, The Champions, Department S and others. More recent TV filming has included EastEnders, Little Britain and Holby City.

In the film arena, Grim's Dyke has provided one of the locations for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, a number of Hammer horrors and Sliding Doors (Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah), along with the feature film version of Agatha Christie's personal favourite of her own books, Endless Night. Most recently the Grim's Dyke provided the honeymoon suite for the One Chance film about the life of Paul Potts, the Britain's Got Talent winner. The film, starring James Corden, was released in October 2013 and the trailer includes scenes shot at Grim's Dyke.

The fee for the evening is £10 including coffee, light refreshments and very free access for photography, including rooms not usually open to the public.

Grim's Dyke is known as a key location for the iconic The Evil of the Daleks episodes in the era of the second Doctor Who (Patrick Troughton). Some of these episodes are lost and Grim's Dyke has co-operated in the past with the filming of reconstructions.

The Grim's Dyke website contains information about the filming history at the hotel and this can be found here.

To reserve and book tickets for the event, please telephone the Hotel Reception on 020 8385 3100.

Tuesday 24th December 2013: In the wake of the addition of a Programme Guide page for All Work and No Pay four days ago, we have now completed work (for the time being!) on the associated Locations page for this episode. It's been quite an involved process, and thanks to Anthony McKay of A Guide to Avengerland, it's more accurate than it would have been. Thanks, Tony - your help is massively appreciated! Check back later this week for news of a TV and film location talk at the beautiful Grim's Dyke Hotel this January. The house was of course used in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), and the talk will include references to the series' visits to the house.

Friday 20th December 2013: A major update today, comprising a new Programme Guide page for All Work and No Pay, a partially completed Locations page for the same episode, and behind-the-scenes production credits added for the first twelve episodes of the series (you can find these on the Programme Guide pages for each episode). I've also gone through and updated hyperlinks and corrected the odd error here and there throughout the site. Also, thanks to Anthony McKay for putting us right regarding the backlot access road seen in Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? and revealing that it still remains today.

Tuesday 17th December 2013: Thanks to the photographic and location hunting skills of the tireless Vince Cox, we can now complete the New Southgate Cemetery section of Locations - Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?.

Sunday 6th October 2013: As promised, the interior sequences at the Palace Theatre have now been added to Locations - That's How Murder Snowballs.

Saturday 5th October 2013: Moving ever onwards... Today we've added an programme guide page and a locations page for That's How Murder Snowballs, the 11th episode of the series. The locations page at present only covers the exterior locations and will be updated shortly with the interiors at the Palace Theatre, Watford.

Wednesday 18th September 2013: Another two photos added for Locations - Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying?.

Tuesday 17th September 2013: Vince has supplied further photos for Locations - Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? today.

Monday 16th September 2013: Further detail and additional photographs added to the Locations - Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? page, with thanks to Vince Cox, Anthony McKay and Chris Leopold.

Saturday 14th September 2013: As promised, we've just added the locations page for Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? - with thanks to Anthony McKay for his invaluable help. It needs a bit of a polish and a few extra photos, but for the moment it's close enough to add to the site.

Thursday 12th September 2013: It's been quiet around these parts for a while, but some major updates are on the way. The first of these arrives today in the form of the Programme Guide page for Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying? - the locations page will be a day or two behind it, we hope.

Thursday 18th April 2013: Following a location recce last Sunday, we can now update a few of our location pages with new photos by Vince: The Smile Behind the Veil (Rowley Farm / Rowley Lane) and It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water (High Canons). Our sincere thanks to the owners of these two properties for kindly granting us access.

Sunday 13th January 2013: Some great new photos from John Holburn which mean that the 'Now' images for the betting shop in It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water and of Stanmore Hall in The Trouble with Women have been updated.

Friday 4th January 2013: A great, quite unexpected find by Rick C from the Britmovie Forum, who has identified the theatre used in the stock footage seen in It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water.

Tuesday 25th December 2012: Not an update as such, but just want to take the opportunity to wish all our visitors and contributors a very Marty Christmas! :)

Thursday 14th December 2012: Thanks to Sam Denham for dropping us a line and for clarifying some of the location credits on our pages. He has also let us know that the Middlesex Hospital seen in You Can Always Find A Fall Guy has now been demolished. The Anti-Randall and Hopkirk Brigade has struck again...

Tuesday 11th December 2012: Brushing up Locations - The Trouble with Women following a location visit at the weekend. Thanks to John Holburn and Alys Hayes for the new 'Now' photographs!

Thursday 6th December 2012: Photographic update today... Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy has a new photo by John Holburn of the bookmakers on Allitsen Road. Also, Alys Hayes has undertaken a recce of central London locations and these have been added to the locations pages for The Smile Behind the Veil (Frith Street and Old Compton Street), It's Supposed to Be Thicker Than Water (Charing Cross Road, New Bond Street, Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and Trafalgar Square) and The Trouble with Women (Admiralty Arch and Trafalgar Square). Finally, thanks are due to Peter Faizey, who in 2007 photographed the Springwell Chalkpit location used in The Trouble with Women and has permitted us to use this image at the site. Thanks also to Chuck Foster of Doctor Who - The Locations Guide for his help regarding this image. Thanks to all our photographers!

Sunday 25th November 2012: Thanks to a concerted group effort from John Holburn, Vince Cox, Anthony McKay and myself, the location page for The Trouble with Women is now live. Particular thanks to Tony for his patience and guidance when I went road blind when working out exactly where a couple of the latter 'country road' locations were!

Thursday 22nd November 2012: Another step of the way today, as I've completed work on Programmes - The Trouble with Women. Locations page for this episode to follow in the next few days.

Tuesday 20th November 2012: Another location found thanks to a suggestion from Tony McKay and the tenacity of Vince Cox - two optically printed backgrounds seen in But What A Sweet Little Room have now been identified without doubt as Grim's Dyke Driveway. Vince has also tracked down location 3K for The Smile Behind the Veil and taken a more accurate photo showing where Marty stood at the roadside on Silver Hill in A Sentimental Journey. All new photos by Vince Cox.

Wednesday 26th September 2012: Thanks to Tony McKay who has been tenacious in tracking down the 'theatreland' locations for It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water. He's pinpointed the exact location of the former Pigalle Bar on Piccadilly and therefore I've been able to amend the 'Now' photograph so that it is more accurate. Locations - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water. The page has also been amended to include one further view of High Canons (the shot where the police arrive).

Tuesday 25th September 2012: A nice update to Programmes - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water which has been possible thanks to the generosity of Jaz Wiseman. Jaz has supplied a remarkable photo of the crashed white Jag in the quarry and this has caused me to revisit the Production Brief entries regarding the stunt.

Monday 24th September 2012: As promised, we can now present Locations - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, which has been made possible with the help of Tony McKay. Vince, John and I would like to thank him for his hard work in double-checking our lists and also in tracking down a few of the more perplexing locations. Cheers Tony, it's much appreciated.

Thursday 20th September 2012: Revisions and additions to the white Jag part of the Production Brief for Programmes - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water, plus updated location photos courtesy of Alys Hayes for Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy (Grims Dyke gatehouse).

Wednesday 19th September 2012: A small update squeezed in between yesterday's and the forthcoming locations update for It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water... First off, thanks to Vince, three new images have been added to Locations - My Lamented Friend and Partner. John has also supplied a great shot of Bridgeman Street, which can be seen in Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy and a little detail about the Glasgow stock footage locations from Locations - A Sentimental Journey has been added. Finally, an additional item concerning the High Canons gatehouse has been added to the Production Brief section of Programmes - It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water.

Tuesday 18th September 2012: Major update! Programme Guide page added today for It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water. Warning: may contain traces of white Jag...

Saturday 15th September 2012: A quick update to note an additional film location for the Edgwarebury Hotel (seen in Who Killed Cock Robin? and The House on Haunted Hill) - the Hammer film, The Devil Rides Out. Thanks to Rob Allan for letting us know.

Wednesday 22nd August 2012: Congratulations and many thanks to Anthony McKay, who has tracked down the Glasgow tenement location from A Sentimental Journey. Unfortunately, as with Ewhurst Manor before it, this location has been redeveloped, but it is good to pinpoint the actual point of filming. Please see Locations - A Sentimental Journey.

Sunday 9th July 2012: Several new and improved photographs courtesy of John and Vince added to Locations - The Smile Behind the Veil.

Wednesday 20th June 2012: Thanks to Vince's sterling work braving the appalling English summer, we now have most views of St. John's Wood High Street and Lauderdale Road photographed and added to Locations - My Late Lamented Friend and Partner and Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy.

Tuesday 1st May 2012: Many thanks to Joan Street and Derek Allen of the Elstree and Borehamwood Museum for furnishing us with further detail about Ewhurst Manor, the 'country cottage' of But What A Sweet Little Room. Derek has also kindly given us permission to use a photograph that he took in 1958 of the adjoining cottage. All can be seen on But What A Sweet Little Room - The Hunt for De Crecy's.

Friday 27th April 2012: New today, the completed (for now!) Locations - The Smile Behind the Veil. Many thanks to Anthony McKay for his assistance with this one. Also today, I have revised Locations - My Late Lamented Friend and Partner to include DVD timings and one additional location (Shaftesbury Avenue). Locations - For the Girl Who Has Everything has also had DVD timings added. Finally today... Locations - A Sentimental Journey similarly brushed up and added to.

Thursday 26th April 2012: Doing a bit of back-tracking with the Location pages, adding back projection shots and title card backgrounds to the episodes we tackled early on. For starters, Locations - But What A Sweet Little Room has been updated with timings, back projection shots and has been rejigged a tiny bit.

Wednesday 25th April 2012: Today, I've completed and am pleased to present the Programmes page for The Smile Behind the Veil. Please note that while the associated locations page is linked from this page, it is currently a work in progress. Lastly today, with thanks to my mother Rita Hayes, it has now been possible to confirm the house number (37) of De Crecy's and to verify that the Cliffords lived at the property from 1958-1970. The only question still buzzing around my mind is whether the 'Ewhurst Manor' name was perhaps an invention for the magazine article in which it was mentioned. Getting there on this mystery...

Tuesday 24th April 2012: Some fine detective work from Claire Saunders has caused me to rethink the football match footage seen in But What A Sweet Little Room, now confirmed as being sourced from the 1963 FA Cup Final (as I thought) and the 1966 FIFA World Cup Final (which I can't believe I couldn't identify!). I've also spotted an incredible blooper for the same episode, with photographic evidence, which can be seen on the same page (along with an additional trivia item concerning the businesses sharing the Randall and Hopkirk office building). Claire has also kindly provided a photo of Wembley Stadium, which has been added to the Locations - But What A Sweet Little Room.

Monday 23rd April 2012: Minding the gaps... or rather, filling them. Thanks to Claire Saunders for pointing out we'd missed a view of Well End Road and we've added this to Locations - A Sentimental Journey. Thanks again to Alys Hayes and Vince Cox, this time for photos of Latimer which have been added to Locations - For the Girl Who Has Everything. Also, courtesy of Vince, a view of De Crecy's today (or more accurately, yesterday!) which has been added to Locations - But What A Sweet Little Room and also to Programmes - But What A Sweet Little Room: The Hunt for De Crecy's page, along with some additional detail by yours truly. Finally, a great addition to Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy from Claire Saunders, who has sent in a 1996 photograph of the Page Street entrance of the now-demolished Westminster Hospital. Thanks to all who have made today's updates possible.

Sunday 22nd April 2012: Locations - Who Killed Cock Robin? has been updated once more. Just one more picture to add. Many thanks to Alys Hayes for the photos, taken at the Edgwarebury earlier today.

Saturday 21st April 2012: Today we've added a new Programme Guide page for Who Killed Cock Robin? and a locations page for the same episode. Also today, some subtle revisions to the Programmes - But What A Sweet Little Room: The Hunt for De Crecy's page.

Monday 26th March 2012: A brand new locations page added today: Locations - You Can Always Find A Fall Guy. If you can help us to identify the unknown roads on this page, please contact us. Thanks especially to Tony McKay for his help with this one.

Friday 23rd March 2012: A modest update today, to add a Trivia item relating to The Saint to the Programme Guide page for A Sentimental Journey.

Thursday 22nd March 2012: A brand new Programme Guide page has been added today, for You Can Always Find A Fall Guy, that is packed with information and comment.

Tuesday 20th March 2012: Some pottering around today. With thanks to Jaz Wiseman, the main photos on each Programme Guide episode page produced so far have been updated with better quality images. I've also been able to add photographs of Carol Cleveland and Judy Huxtable, both of whom filmed scenes as Laura Slade in For the Girl Who Has Everything.

Monday 19th March 2012: Further to yesterday's big news about Ewhurst Manor, today I have added a YouTube video of the George Harrison Marks film which led me to discover the location to the Programmes - But What A Sweet Little Room page. Please be warned that this is, while tame, of an adult nature. Also, thanks to the further researches of Anthony McKay, we can now also present accurate map and satellite views which demonstrate Ewhurst Manor's exact location prior to demolition and how it stood compared to the modern view.

Sunday 18th March 2012: A big big day for Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified), because we've found De Crecy's country home! It was in Borehamwood all the time, but was demolished in 1970.
